Wow, I'm suprised anet hasn't even acknowledged (<heh big word) this problem on there website! I figured we'd at least here from someone like Gaile by now on a fansite.... Maybe they all went into hiding, fearing the retribution of the guildwars community!

At this point I wouldn't doubt if they cut the line somewhere down the path from server to server so they couild work in peace without traffic over the network.
I'm sure it'll be up boys and girls.
Oh and btw, for the guy who keeps going 'WoW is for me, blah blah .. paying for it is worth it blah blah ...' ... I got a newsflash for you - I played WoW for over a year and they have MORE outages than Anet so you won't find comfort there.
Just chill - eat a salad. Love your woman. Read a book. Write a poem. Sharpen your arrows ... oh wait ... sorry guess I'm not yet out of character.

I view your "entertainment" as spam, it seems to me she picked the most adult and mature post. Also who wants to read 4 pages to just find that.

Hi, guys,
We're working on the current situation and tracing it to its source. We should have an update soon, and we believe the situation will be corrected quite soon.
We're sorry for the inadvertent "time out" and are working hard to get things back to normal!

For those of you who didnt know what obastable meant.
a memory leak is
A leak in a programs dynamic store allocation logic, that causes it to fail to reclaim memory in the heat after its finished using it, eventually causing the program to fail due to lack of memory.
now to put that in simpler terms
basically.. when a program uses memory, then forgets it's using it. the memory is still consider "in use" even though the program isnt actively using it. Because is "in use" other programs and processes cant access it... which results in hang ups, non loading, etc etc..
General fix for this is to increase your virtual memory, but in most instances.. if the program has a major memory leak, this fix wont work.
so basically.. the problem lies in Anets update (possible memory leak?).. and the only person who can fix it.. is them.

The worst part of this, is not that we can’t get in, it is arena net’s lack of ability to communicate to us. How hard is it to have link setup for real-time status of the situation.
A bit of truth and information helps a long way with ppl patience.
